The biggest science-fiction movie of the century, ‘2.0’, directed by Shankar has finally hit the cinemas yesterday. The most awaited film of the year, which is made on a huge budget of more than Rs 550 crore has Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson playing the lead roles.
Much to the shock of fans and the producers of the movie, TamilRockers, an active piracy website, has leaked the entire film in High-Definition print, within few hours of its release around the nation. It is said that the makers had deployed a separate team to monitor online piracy which failed to stop the piracy of the big budget film.
Meanwhile, reports suggest that producers of Rajnikanth starrer movie, ‘2.0’ had approached the Madras High Court with a list of websites which had illegally uploaded the pirated version of the film within a hour of release around the nation. There has been no official confirmation on the same.
But the sources said the first to leak the movie, ‘2.0’ is TamilRockers website.
Earlier, the anti-piracy team headed by actor Vishal had submitted a list of websites that leaks newly released films on their websites to the state government of Tamilnadu. The government had blocked most of these websites. However, they couldn't bring down TamilRockers.
Recently, this year the same website, TamilRockers had leaked Dhanush's popular movie ‘Vada Chennai’ and Vijay's ‘Sarkar’ as well.
The movie ‘2.0’, which took a thunderous opening day at the box office worldwide, seems to be receiving mixed reviews from the critics. The film talks about the harmful effects of radiation emanating from cell phone towers around the world.
Till now the actors of the movie has not given any comment on the issue. But hope the people will support the film industry and avoid the pirated version of the movie.
